In 1968, Stewart Brand opened his Whole Earth Catalog with an iconic claim: “We are as gods now, and might as well get good at it.” In this feature-length screenplay, part rom-com, part heist movie, and part political exposé, two radically different visions for how best to save the world compete, as a conscientious Park Ranger fights (and fraternizes) with the leader of a group of dumpster-diving freegans in NYC’s most iconic green space: Central Park.
This bizarre dark comedy captures the messy final minutes of a complicated break-up, and a couple trying to cling to (and escape from) the world they’ve built together.
